Maxi Priest
Overview
Maxi Priest, loved across genres—from reggae and Lovers Rock to R&B—takes the stage. Raised in a family of Jamaican immigrants in Britain, Maxi grew up listening to the works of a variety of vocalists, from Dennis Brown to Frank Sinatra. He made his album debut in 1985, and his cover of Cat Stevens’ “Wild World” became a worldwide hit. Here in Japan, his voice became well known thanks to the massive success of “Love Somebody” in 1997. In September this year, produced by Shaggy, he released the album It All Comes Back To Love, featuring a star-studded lineup of guest artists. From a pioneer of pop reggae, enjoy his universal, genre-spanning vocal artistry and a collection of refined, timeless songs to the fullest.
