A premium, mature-audience live performance featuring the top musical theatre actor Kanji Ishimaru and the virtuoso guitarist Jiro Yoshida has been announced.

Kanji Ishimaru, who today is active not only as a musical theatre actor but also as a host of music programs and as a singer, has teamed up with world-renowned guitarist and music producer Jiro Yoshida, whom he first met on the 2013 album “Love Songs” and with whom he has performed on numerous occasions. In a minimal lineup of voice and guitar, to celebrate the release of the duo album “Something’s Coming,” which features not only musical theatre standards but also a multitude of timeless songs that transcend eras and borders, a live tour has been decided. A deep, mature world awaits, where Ishimaru’s velvet voice—sweet and whispered—and Yoshida’s delicate yet boundless guitar playing blend in exquisite harmony.

30 years since his debut with the Shiki Theatre Company and 11 years as a freelancer. Now, please enjoy Kanji Ishimaru’s music, foretelling both the present and what lies ahead.
