Orquesta De La Luz
Overview
Under the theme of the “Japan Latinization Plan,” the salsa band Orquesta de la Luz continues to actively perform on stage in 2020 as well. Since their 1990 debut album achieved the feat of topping the US Latin charts for 11 consecutive weeks, they have received numerous honors both domestically and internationally, including the United Nations Peace Prize and a Grammy nomination. In 2019 they celebrated their 35th anniversary and released their first original album in 10 years, Gracias Salseros. A rehearsal video they posted on Facebook in March of that year reached 2.8 million views, drawing attention worldwide, especially across Central and South America. Having swept through their anniversary year, their joyful and stimulating stage will make for a night that makes your heart dance.
