Acoustic guitarist Kotaro Oshio appears on stage, continuing to make his mark. In 2002, soon after his major-label debut, he also debuted in the United States. He has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival for three consecutive years. Moreover, he has broadened his activities across Asia, earning high praise not only in Japan but worldwide. While focusing on live performances, he also composes music for films and commercials, expanding the range of his activities. His guitar playing—employing open tunings, tapping, and other techniques—expresses a supple, powerful sound with timeless appeal. In February 2019, he released his 15th original album, 'Encounter', continuing to sharpen his musicality. Enjoy a richly fertile sonic world that seems far more lush than a single guitar could suggest.
