Three accomplished artists who excel across a wide field without being confined to any genre take the stage. In addition to performing across Europe, Asia, Africa, and beyond, Japan’s leading pianist Tetsu Shioya—who also shines as a supporting pianist for renowned artists such as Satō Takezen, Ryoko Moriyama, and Sadao Watanabe—joins guitarist Yosuke Onuma, who, rooted in jazz, continually incorporates the essences of various countries into his music to connect the world through sound, and percussionist Gen Ogimi, who digests and rearranges rhythms learned around the world to unleash a truly unique groove. Together as a star-studded trio, what kind of performance will they bring to Osaka’s stage? I’m already looking forward to it.
