During their elementary school days, Makiko Ono (vocals, keyboard) and Izumi Kojima (vocals, keyboard), who were peers in the same year in a children's choir, formed the female duo Hana* Hana and made their first appearance on the Billboard Live stage. They made their major debut in July 2000 with "A~ Yokatta - Setagaya Mix -" from Warner Music Japan, and since then have released numerous hits, including "Sayonara, Daisuki na Hito." They are currently active in a wide range of activities, including music production as well as energetic live performances nationwide and stage music production. In their stage, the two create songs and play piano while singing, weaving original songs that reflect everyday life and resonate with a broad audience, while also mixing in covers from both Western and Japanese music.
