Leading modern jazz pianist Chihiro Yamanaka takes the stage in a trio format. She graduated at the top of her class from the United States’ Berklee College of Music in 2001 and debuted with Living Without Friday. Since then, she has released a string of works that have topped the jazz charts. Her latest album Rosa is a triple commemorative edition celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Charlie Parker’s 100th birthday, and Chihiro Yamanaka’s 15th anniversary since debut. It is filled with gems—from exquisite classical pieces and jazz standards to new originals.
