Jazz pianist Junko Onishi, who commands an overwhelming presence on the scene, will appear at Billboard Live Osaka in June in a quartet lineup.
She debuted in 1993 with the album WOW. Since then, her New York performances have been highly acclaimed, and she has enjoyed enormous support for a long time. Onishi will perform in a special quartet with Japan’s premier players, Inoue Yosuke (b), Ogimi Gen (per), and Kira Sota (ds). I look forward to being truly intoxicated by the powerful yet supple, perfectly coordinated, thrilling playing.
