Mika Kamino, who has been making waves beyond the boundaries of enka, makes her first appearance at Billboard Live Osaka. She debuted in March 1984 with “Kamome Omae Nara” (Kamome If It’s You). Known for numerous hit songs including “Otoko Fune” and “Kinsho,” this authentic enka singer boasts many awards, such as appearances on NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen and the Japan Record Award. In recent years, she has been actively performing at New York jazz clubs and at domestic and international music festivals such as SXSW and ARABAKI ROCK FEST, in order to spread Japanese enka. For this show, she will share the stage with Kansai’s premier big band, the Aro Jazz Orchestra. Don’t miss this collaboration between these two ensembles, who express a wide range of music with boundless versatility.
