Taeko Agawa, who rose to prominence as a leading figure in the 1980s jazz boom, later earned acclaim in the club scene and, through her prowess, has drawn cross-generational support. She made her debut as a jazz vocalist in 1978, and has collaborated with many legendary international musicians, including Sergio Mendes, Joe Sample, Tommy Flanagan, and Pino Palladino. Centered around London’s club scene, she has earned cross-generational support, especially from younger generations.
