She debuted in 1978 with the single “Turn Right.” Since then, she has been active as an idol renowned for her vocal ability.

Her 1981 single “Machibuse” became a huge hit, and she even appeared on Kohaku Uta Gassen. She has expanded her activities with hosting TV programs and voicing characters in NHK’s puppet show “Purin Purin Monogatari,” earning widespread popularity.

In 2018, marking her 40th anniversary since debut, tickets for her commemorative concert sold out in just under an hour, and she continues to boast enduring popularity.
