LUCKY TAPES, formed by Kai Takahashi (vocals, keys), Keito Taguchi (bass), and Kensuke Takahashi (guitar). After forming, their five-track release Peace and Magic sold out in just three months. In April 2015 they released their debut single Touch! and in August their debut album The SHOW. In July 2016 they released their second album Cigarette & Alcohol and performed at Fuji Rock Festival. In May 2018 they made their major debut with the five-track CD 22, and in October released their major-label debut album dressing. In November 2020, Kai Takahashi not only wrote and composed but also for the first time handled mixing through mastering on their latest album Blend. Their live performances—featuring a nine-piece lineup with horn sections, female backing vocals, percussion, and more—have received high praise across the board.
