WONK, an experimental soul band that redefines Japanese music. Each member is a player/producer/engineer active in the fields of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and rock, making the band unusually diverse.

Since releasing their debut album in 2016, they have performed at Japan’s leading music festivals and succeeded on overseas tours. Their high level of musicianship has earned broad support across genres and generations, including providing songs, remixes, and performing with big domestic and international artists.

In June 2020, they released their fourth full-length album, EYES. They held a full 3D-CG livestream, which generated buzz and trended in Twitter’s Top 10.

In 2021, they kicked off with a collaboration on the theme song for a drama starring Shingo Katori, and after ten months released a new WONK track, FLOWERS. Their solo performances showcase four members with distinct personalities and skills, intertwining a wide-ranging musicality into a unique, cutting-edge sound that has attracted strong support.

They are active and acclaimed worldwide; this next-generation band’s latest form is a must-see.
