Hiromi Ota & Mayo Shono Special Live
※This performance will be held during special hours.
Overview
Hiromi Ota and Mayo Shono, two female singers who represent Japanese pop music, take the stage. Debuting in 1974 with “Ame-dare” (Raindrops), Ota has sung numerous classics including “Cotton Handkerchief,” helping to open the path for today’s J-Pop female vocalists. Mayo Shono, who debuted in 1976, achieved major hits with songs like “Fly to Istanbul” and “Cheers in Monte Carlo,” and has remained popular through a wide range of activities. As neo-music singers who transcend the genres of folk and kayōkyoku, the two have continued to captivate many fans to the present. A collaboration featuring these two artists’ representative songs, along with Kyōhei Tsutsumi’s works, is truly a must-listen. Please take your time to thoroughly enjoy their voices, which remain as captivating as ever.
