Robert Glasper, a contemporary top-tier pianist drawing attention as a leading figure in next-generation jazz, shines in a style that sublimates diverse genres—jazz, gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative rock. In 2012, after releasing the groundbreaking album Black Radio under the Experiment umbrella, he achieved the notable feat of becoming the first pianist to win the Best R&B Album category at the 55th Grammy Awards. In 2020, he captured the Best R&B Song Grammy for “Better Than I Imagined,” featuring H.E.R. and Meshell Ndegeocello.
