Based in New York and touring the world, Japan’s renowned female jazz pianist Chihiro Yamanaka will again take the Billboard Live stage with a trio this year. Her latest release Ballads, which dropped last December, is a ballad-focused best-of album commemorating her 20th anniversary since debut—the first time in her career that she has released a ballad collection. From among her past works, she selected ballads and includes several tracks re-recorded anew for solo piano, and its exceptional content has been well received, topping many jazz charts. Now at the peak of her activity, don’t miss the jewel-like ensemble she will showcase as a trio.
