Overview
Samurai trumpeter Takuya Kuroda, at the forefront of contemporary jazz, returns to the stage with his big band aTak band, bringing along the new album "ZASU." In 2014, he made his major-debut as the first Japanese artist on the prestigious Blue Note label with "Rising Sun." Since then, he has pursued a global career based in New York. In addition to his own projects, he has collaborated with DJ Premier and the Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble, and domestically has worked with MISIA, JUJU, and cero, while also performing as a member of J-Squad, continually drawing strong attention. In August 2020, he released his sixth album, "Fly Moon Die Soon." This work, with its overwhelming groove and melodies, and razor-sharp trumpet playing, earned high praise from American media.
