Overview
Sadao Watanabe, who in the 1960s went to Brazil alone to record and, from early on, introduced Brazilian music to Japan and incorporated it into his own music. His achievements were honored by the Brazilian government, and he was awarded Brazil’s highest decoration. In this concert, his first focus on Brazilian music in about five years, he will perform original pieces with a Brazilian flavor as well as standards of Bossa Nova and Samba, all with his feelings for that country. Please enjoy these two precious days.
