Starting drums at age five, and from age eight studying under Kozo Suganuma, known as the “King of Chops,” Senri Kawaguchi—who is making waves as one of the most talked-about young drummers in contemporary Japan’s jazz-fusion scene—this year reaches her 20th anniversary as a drummer. To commemorate this milestone, she will host a special twin-drum live show! The twin-drum partner she welcomes is the skilled musician who also started drums at age six and has, since his teens, built a prolific career performing with a wide range of artists and has appeared on the Billboard Live stage many times: Riku Taira. Don’t miss the powerful drumming from these two young drum prodigies!
