In the summer of 2009, the soul band Omoide Yarou A-Team, formed at Tama Art University, made their long-awaited debut. After releasing their first album, WEEKEND SOUL BAND, produced by mabanua in 2015, they moved in 2017 to the indie label Kakubarizm, home to YOUR SONG IS GOOD and SAKEROCK. They have been actively involved, providing jingles and ending themes for Negicco, lyrical school, chelmico, NHK’s kids program Shakiin!, and Hanako—the 2018 King of Conte champion—for Hanako’s solo shows. In recent years, they have performed live in a special lineup that includes a supporting musician and a sign-language interpreter. Their distinctive groove, which modernizes genres such as soul, reggae, and disco, and their emotionally charged, positive lyric world, are something you should fully experience.
