Shinji Takeda, who has been active across TV, film, and stage and drew attention for his appearance on NHK’s “Minna de Kinniku Taiso,” makes a comeback to the Billboard Live stage as saxophonist Shinji Takeda. He began playing the sax in junior high and debuted in 1995 with the single “Blow Up.” He is highly regarded for his advanced playing technique, including his participation in a tour with Kiyoshiro Imawano. To commemorate his 30th anniversary in the entertainment business, his 2020 solo album “BREATH OF LIFE” drew attention for its tie-ins with TV programs and for the guest appearance by saxophonist Naoki Fujii (F-BLOOD / former Chekkers), whom Takeda admires. This time, the accomplished jazz vocalist Shiho, who also contributed to the album track “Wonderland Tonight,” and the singer-songwriter K, renowned for her elegant looks and sweet singing voice, appear as special guests. Look forward to the collaboration as Shinji Takeda continues to evolve as a musician, joined by these stellar guests!
