Naotaro Moriyama, who has woven numerous famous songs including “Sakura” (solo), makes his first appearance at Billboard Live Osaka. He debuted on a major label in 2002, and this year marks his 20th anniversary. The challenge he is taking on is a “100-city nationwide tour,” the 20th Anniversary Tour “Wonderful World.” The tour, his first with an audience in about three years, is divided into three parts: <First Part> solo/acoustic; <Middle Part> bluegrass; <Last Part> full band, with the performance format varying by leg of the tour, and Billboard Live Osaka will be performed with the bluegrass ensemble in the middle part. Moriyama, whose songs possess a unique worldview and whose one-of-a-kind voice has broad cross-generational support, is active not only in his own musical activities but also as a songwriter for other artists and as an actor. This rare club performance offers a close-up experience of his versatile vocal style and boundary-crossing musicality, and it’s not to be missed.
