A solo concert by Kaoru Kurosawa, a member of The Gospellers—pioneers of the J-Pop scene as a vocal group—has been announced. The Gospellers were formed from Waseda University’s a cappella circle and made their major debut in 1994. Since then they have released numerous hits, including “Eien ni” and “Hitori.” In 2005, he became the first member to debut as a solo artist, and his solo career is now in its 17th year. He has expanded his activities to writing songs for other artists and producing, and in February this year his self-produced new-generation neo-a cappella group Nagie Lane performed at Billboard Live Yokohama to great acclaim.
