Guitarist Shigeru Suzuki, whose name is etched in the history of Japanese rock, and Kaori Kobayashi, Japan’s pride of a saxophonist, will share the Billboard Live stage. Not only has Suzuki been active in the legendary Tin Pan Alley, formed with Haruomi Hosono, Tatsuo Hayashi, and Masanori Matsutoya, but he’s also known for his work with Shigeru Suzuki & Hucklebuck, and as a solo artist he released the acclaimed album BAND WAGON, continuing to lead Japan’s rock history for more than half a century. In recent years, he has formed the band SKYE with Masanori Matsutoya, Rei Obara, and Tatsuo Hayashi, and remains vigorously active today. And Kaori Kobayashi has released numerous solo albums over the past 16 years, continually delivering music that transcends genres. Although a solo artist, she has in recent years also supported live performances for Yumi Matsutoya, SKYE, and Shigeru Izumiya. Her latest album NOW and FOREVER also features a collaboration with Shigeru Suzuki, and we invite you to experience the musical chemistry sparked by two artists who are continually evolving on stage together.
