This year, as she marks her 25th anniversary since debut, Miu Sakamoto will hold an anniversary concert with a lineup of glamorous guests. She made her singing debut in 1997 under the name “Ryuichi Sakamoto feat. Sister M,” and since then has begun full-fledged singing activities under her real name. In addition to her solo career, she has appeared at numerous music festivals with the unit “Oo Ame” (Ohata Yuichi + Miu Sakamoto). Not limited to music, she has expanded her expressive scope to writing, narration, and theater. For this performance, joining as band members are pianist Mamiko Hirai, who contributed to the solo album Birds Fly after about six and a half years, and cellist Seigen Tokuzawa. For the Osaka show, Tetsuya Komuro; for the Tokyo show, Taeko Onuki on the 1st stage and Masashi Sada on the 2nd stage—each a diverse guest with ties to Sakamoto. Look forward to a festive stage that envelops the venue with her warm, inclusive singing voice and richly resonant tones.
