Goro Noguchi
Goro Noguchi
Overview
Goro Noguchi, who has continued to shine on Japan’s entertainment scene for more than half a century, makes his long-awaited debut on the Billboard Live stage. He debuted as a singer at age 15, and the following year became the youngest-ever to appear on NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen, winning numerous music awards with No.1 hits such as “Sweet Life” and “Along the Private Rail Lines.” Since then, in addition to live performances, he has captivated many fans across television, film, and various other media. He is also highly regarded as a guitarist, and more than forty years ago he pioneered overseas recording, producing numerous albums with renowned international artists such as Gary King, Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, and David Sanborn, which drew attention. And this May, five of his former classmates—dads who picked up guitars—formed the band “The Outdated Rock’n’Roll Band” at Keisuke Kuwata’s invitation, which became a topic of conversation. Noguchi, continuing to pursue his activities with vigor, remains under close attention. People can’t help but look forward to what kind of performance he will deliver on his first Billboard Live appearance.
