Noguchi Goro, who has continued to be active in Japan’s entertainment scene for more than half a century, makes his long-awaited Billboard Live debut on the venue’s stage. He debuted as a singer at 15, and the following year became the youngest-ever entrant on NHK’s Kouhaku Uta Gassen, earning numerous music awards with No.1 hits such as “Sweet Life” and “Along the Private Railway Lines.” Since then, in addition to live performances, he has captivated fans across television, film, and various other media. His guitar playing is also highly regarded; more than forty years ago he was ahead of his time in venturing into overseas recording, producing numerous albums with renowned international artists such as Gary King, Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, and David Sanborn, which drew widespread attention. And in May this year, five of his classmates’ fathers gathered with guitars at Keisuke Kuwata’s invitation to form the band “Outdated Rock ’n’ Roll Band,” which became a talking point. Noguchi continues his active, ambitious work, and he remains in the spotlight. We can’t help but be期待ing what kind of performance he will deliver on his Billboard Live debut.
