Yui Makino, who continues to showcase a wide range of talents as a voice actress, singer, and pianist, makes her Billboard Live debut. She began playing piano at age 4, and at age 8 she met Shunji Iwai and contributed to the scores for Love Letter and All About Lily Chou-Chou. In 2005, she made her voice-acting debut as Sakura, the heroine of CLAMP’s original TV anime Tsubasa Chronicle, and since then has drawn increasing attention by singing the ending theme for the TV anime Genesis of Aquarion and the Yoko Kanno-produced Omuna Magni. While continuing her work as a voice actress, she has also produced many acclaimed anime-tie-up songs as an artist, including “Undine” and “Reset.” Her activities are not limited to Japan; she has performed solo concerts in Paris, Rome, and Hong Kong and appeared at events in more than ten countries overseas.
