Miliyah Kato, who continues to sing love songs that resonate with people of her generation, will return to Billboard Live for the first time in four years. She debuted in 2004 with “Never Let Go / Night Sky.” Her real, down-to-earth lyrics and melodic sensibility, and the way she lives, have earned widespread support, and she quickly became a charismatic figure among young women; she has also showcased talent as a fashion designer and a novelist. This year, as she celebrates 18 years since her debut, she continues to release new songs regularly, and her ambitious creative activities show no sign of slowing down. In 2018, on stage, she delivered her songs with a simple band arrangement and also performed Western covers. Continuing to sing about the loves and struggles of modern women, her performances—often called “the voice of the era”—offer a premium live experience with a mature atmosphere, unlike a tour.
