BIGYUKI Japan Tour 2023 “NEON CHAPTER”
Overview
BIGYUKI began learning piano at age six and enrolled at Berklee College of Music in the United States after finishing high school. After moving to New York, he joined Talib Kweli’s and Bilal’s bands, and in Bilal’s band he also performed with Robert Glasper. In 2016, he participated on albums released by A Tribe Called Quest and J. Cole; both works reached No. 1 in the United States, making him the first Japanese artist to participate on two US No.1 albums. He now tours the world with artists across genres, including Antonio Sanchez and Jose James, broadening the scope of his artistic activities. In 2021, he released the long-awaited full album Neon Chapter. The wide-ranging repertoire—spanning jazz, hip-hop, soul, R&B, and more—showcases BIGYUKI’s unique breadth of music, allowing audiences to enjoy cutting-edge sounds from an artist active on the world’s front lines. Now, BIGYUKI’s eagerly awaited Japan tour, his first in four years since 2019, has come to fruition. Don’t miss BIGYUKI’s highly anticipated band-set performance, which invites you to Neon Chapter—a new world that breaks through the sense of stagnation.
