With a unique yet cutting-edge sound where a wide range of musical styles intersect, the experimental soul band WONK—already drawing attention both in Japan and abroad—will launch its Billboard Live tour for the first time in a year. Each member is a versatile player/producer/engineer active in the fields of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and rock. Since releasing their debut album in 2016, they have performed at some of Japan’s leading music festivals and completed overseas tours; their breadth of musicality and high level of skill have been recognized across genres and generations, including collaborations such as providing songs, remixes, and performances for major domestic and international artists.
