Howard Jones, a pioneer of electronic music and one of pop’s foremost melody-makers and songwriters, returns to the Billboard Live stage! In 1983, “New Song,” “What Is Love,” and “Hide and Seek” were huge hits in both the UK and Japan. The 1985 hit “Only Get Better” peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and 1986’s “Sad Wish” reached No. 4, sending him to global stardom. In 2019, he appeared at Billboard Live with the album Transform; the show featured his trademark synth-rich arrangements, spanning new songs to his classic hits, and drew widespread attention. This time, the On Stage lineup will include Howard’s long-time collaborator and guitarist beloved by many musicians, Robin Boult, and Nick Beggs, a former Kajagoogoo member who in recent years has led his own band, Trifecta, on bass and Chapman Stick.
