Legendary Southern soul songwriting duo Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham make a miraculous return to the Billboard Live stage. Based in Muscle Shoals and Memphis—hubs of Southern R&B in the 1960s—Penn wrote and produced on Aretha Franklin’s “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man,” as well as works by James Carr, Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, and many other masterpieces.
