Nick Lowe, a pub-rock pioneer known as the producer for The Damned and Elvis Costello, has announced a Billboard Live tour, his first in four years. Born in Surrey, England, he debuted as a member of Kippington Lodge, later Brinsley Schwarz. Building on roots music such as country and blues, he added his own British pop sensibility to create a sound that established a new genre—pub rock. As a solo artist, he scored hits including "Lovers," and as a producer he worked with The Damned, Elvis Costello, the Pretenders, among others, showcasing his craft. In the late 1980s, he formed Little Village with Ry Cooder, and since then has continued to thrive in both performing and producing.
