Current LA underground scene remains strong in popularity, and the duo Sam Wilkes and Jacob Mann—who released a joint album in 2022, "Perform the Compositions of Sam Wilkes & Jacob Mann," to high praise from music fans and record collectors worldwide—make their Billboard Live debut. Bassist/composer Sam Wilkes, who has earned enthusiastic support in Japan through his work with saxophonist Sam Gendel, and pianist/keyboardist Jacob Mann, who drew major attention with the Jacob Mann Big Band project, met as allies during their USC student days. They have also been active as supporting members for Louis Cole's KNOWER. This marks their first Japan tour as a duo, and with their trademark experimental and genre-defying sound, they are sure to lead you into an unknown musical zone. Their performances are widely lauded by musicians and industry insiders, so this is one you won’t want to miss.
