With a warm, enveloping vocal that continues to captivate people, the Japanese R&B diva Seimi Suzuki teams up on stage with her ally, trumpeter Nobuyuki Kuwano, who has shone as a member of Rats & Star. Their stage, following the well-received June–July performances, is set to continue! The customary two-person duet LIVE covers a wide range of material and is now at a mature stage. While Suzuki’s ballad-oriented image remains the focus, her rich Western covers include uptempo numbers inspired by the Supremes, as well as bluesy tunes in the style of Tina Turner and Al Green—songs that are designed to groove with the audience. Kuwano’s singing is always jazzy, yet the underlying soul behind it is nothing but Soul. And the breath from that singing breathes straight into the trumpet, shaking the soul.
