With a smoky yet mellow vocal style and a distinctive sensibility that continues to refresh the scene by expanding jazz, vocalist Jose James has decided to present a premium show featuring classically based pianist Hayato Kakuno (Cateen), who is drawing major attention in the piano world. The two first shared the stage in an initial collaboration at NAMM Show 2023, the world’s largest instrument trade show, held in Anaheim, California, at the CASIO booth, where live performances by various artists took place. The atmosphere of the venue, energized by a session that unfolded in mutual breathing and chemistry, was streamed live to Japanese fans.
