Overview
Japan's music scene has long been at the forefront, and singer-songwriter Junko Yagami—who was inducted into the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame in the United States last year—has co-led and drawn wide acclaim for the “The Night Flight” series with Tsugutoshi Gotō. Last autumn, as the series reached its tenth installment, the beloved show came to a graceful close, but unexpectedly next spring it will return to Billboard Live with a refreshed look under the title “~New Departure.” This show is also popular for delivering familiar songs in innovative arrangements that vary by performance. This time, the lineup features pianist Jun Sato, the newly welcomed guitarist Takeshi Ima, and drummer Hideo Yamaki, bringing together Japan’s top musicians for a thrilling and powerful stage that will guide you onto a new voyage.
