Orange Street Jive Band, a new group pulsating the floor with Caribbean dance and lounge music, makes its Billboard Live debut!

Formed around HAKASE-SUN (keyboard), a member of Kawakami Tsuyoshi and His Mood Makers, and drawing from members of Fishmans, Little Tempo, KODAMA & The Dub Station Band, and OKI DUB AINU BAND, Orange Street Jive Band brings together top-notch studio musicians who have contributed to soundtracks for TV Tokyo’s drama Would You Like Coffee? and the Amazon Original MODERN LOVE / My Wife in Hibernate. They deliver dance numbers rooted in reggae, ska, and rocksteady. For this show, they welcome as guests Kengo Kakudate, the vocalist of YOGEE NEW WAVES, and the versatile singer-songwriter butaji, delivering an unpredictable stage. With the banner “Pan-Caribbean, Jazzy Steady & Bumpin’ Jive!!!,” they kick off what promises to be an aggressive and memorable debut for this lineup—don’t miss it!
