Overview
OAU is a six-piece acoustic band formed by BRAHMAN’s full lineup—TOSHI-LOW (vocals, bouzouki, acoustic guitar), KOHKI (acoustic guitar), MAKOTO (contrabass), RONZI (drums)—together with violinist and frontman MARTIN (vocals, violin, acoustic guitar) and percussionist KAKUEI (percussion). They captivate many listeners with an organic sound that deftly weaves in traditional and roots music, combining delicacy and dynamism in their performances. In addition to touring at Japan’s largest festivals and overseas, since 2010 they have served as organizers of the camp festival New Acoustic Camp. In recent years they have begun stepping onto new stages by contributing theme songs for numerous TV dramas and films. In April 2023, as OAU, they released their second full-length album, 'Tradition'. They invite you to fully experience their evolving, majestic, one-of-a-kind organic sound in an intimate club space.
