Yūji Sugimoto, formerly of WEAVER, takes the stage with his solo project ONCE, bringing along the album “ONLY LIVE ONCE.” He rose to prominence as the piano-vocalist of the piano-rock band WEAVER, which disbanded after a February 2023 live show. In addition to providing songs for various artists, arranging and producing, and offering support, he has worked on music for musicals such as “The Monster and the Detective” and “Songwriters,” as well as Earth-Gorgeous productions. He has also appeared as a performer in the stage production “Chotto Ima kara Shigoto Yamete Kuru,” among other wide-ranging activities. The project name ONCE is derived from “You only live once” (人生一度きり), embodying the idea that in a single lifetime, a new piece of music can be born in that one moment, and that emotion and excitement should be shared with everyone from now on.
