Japan's only vocalist and flugelhorn player, TOKU, will present a spring Billboard Live concert. He debuted in January 2000 with the album “Everythig She Said” from SME. With a smooth, sweet tone and a broad musicality that transcends the boundaries of jazz, he has contributed as a composer and performer to numerous artists’ works and has appeared on the Billboard Live stage many times. This year, a lineup featuring pianist Masaya Umino, with whom TOKU has maintained a close friendship since high school and who has stayed close since moving to New York, groove master Hisashi Numazawa, who has collaborated with world-renowned artists in the United States, and the bassist Hideki Matsubara, whom Numazawa places enormous trust in, comes together. For the Osaka show, guitarist Yosuke Onuma, TOKU’s old friend, has been confirmed as a guest. We will deliver a sonic world that invites you to even greater heights.
