Pop-flavored yet with genuine depth, SALT&SUGAR (Salt and Sugar), a one-of-a-kind supergroup, will appear at Billboard Live again this year. SALT&SUGAR was formed by Tetsu Shioya, who after serving as the pianist for Orquesta de la Luz has been active in a wide range of projects including AGA-SHIO and Dandyism Banquet, and Sato Takezen, a top vocalist known for his broad musical range and solid singing ability, weaving sound in their own style from Jazz to Pop. When they take the stage, the precise, academically informed music they present in studio recordings gives rise to powerful music born from aggressive improvisation. What kind of passionate performance will they deliver on their Spring 2024 stage? There is growing anticipation for the bold approaches of Tetsu Shioya's Jazz-and-Classical-based music and Sato Takezen's Rock-and-Pop-based music.
