Jazz fusion legend Larry Carlton, who has long led the fusion world, has decided to bid a temporary farewell to his world tour with a farewell concert at Billboard Live.

He began his professional career in the late 1960s, and after his activities with The Crusaders, in 1978 he released a landmark jazz-fusion album, "Night Wanderings." The track "Room 335" became a hit, and as a session musician, Larry became a sought-after figure, receiving love calls from renowned artists such as Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, and others.

He has been nominated for the Grammy Awards 19 times, and four times he has won that honor. Here at Billboard Live as well, over the years he has moved us with numerous memorable performances.

Now, this "Mr.335" is set to bring the whirlwind schedule of his illustrious career to a close with a performance that features his mature guitar playing, the many classics by The Crusaders and Steely Dan that color the show, and four-handed pieces that he has rarely performed, as he pays a "Salute (a bow)" to Japan, the country he loves.
