Chihiro Yamanaka, a jazz pianist based in New York and active worldwide, will hold a special live performance at Billboard Live Osaka. She graduated at the top of her class from the Berklee College of Music in the United States. In Japan, she debuted with “Living Without Friday” on Sawano Studio, and internationally she debuted on the prestigious Decca Records label. Since then, every release has topped the jazz charts, and she has continued to perform live around the world with great energy. Her latest album, “Dolce Vita,” released last August on the Blue Note label, is a tribute to Ryūichi Sakamoto and Wayne Shorter. In March 2024, she received the Jazz Critic’s “Jazz Audio Disk Award 2023.” For this performance, she will be joined by Hiroyuki Yamamoto on bass and Daniel Baeder on drums, and in addition to originals, new pieces, and standards, will feature Brazilian music.
