Violinist/composer Ikuko Kawai, who continues to perform worldwide beyond genre boundaries, presents a popular series featuring tango-centered music, set to be held at Billboard Live. In addition to performing as a soloist with major orchestras both domestically and internationally, she has released numerous works with deeply intellectual themes. She also served as the travel-theme composer for the taiga drama Kirin ga Kuru, and in March of last year released the debut album of her self-founded Japanese–Western fusion orchestra, Orchestra Hibiki. Her activities are wide-ranging. This time, the stage will feature a lineup of accomplished musicians: pianist Nahoko Aoki, bandoneon player Satoshi Kitamura, and contrabassist Yoshinobu Takeshita.
