This year, as Kaori Ishihara marks her sixth anniversary since debut as an artist, she makes her first appearance at Billboard Live. She has voiced numerous anime roles, including Kana Tanigawa in Ano Natsu de Matteru, Aladdin in Magi, and Hitomi Tsukishiro in Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara, among others. As an artist, she has built her career as a member of units such as YuiKaori and StylipS, and in 2018 she made her solo debut with the single “Blooming Flower” from Pony Canyon, with her crystal-clear singing voice and expressive dance and performance drawing much praise. Her third album, Calm Scene, released in April this year, brought in a diverse lineup of contributors—Sho Watanabe, ☆Taku Takahashi, eill, Haruno, and others—broadening the sound variety more than ever while challenging the expression of “stillness and motion.” On her regular stages, Ishihara centers her performances on dance and vocals.
