A Billboard Live show by Shiggy Jr., the four‑piece band that achieved a reunion four and a half years after their 2019 disbandment, has been announced.

Formed in December 2012 around Tomoko Ikeda (Vo) and Shigeyuki Harada (Gt/Vo), the current four‑piece lineup came together in February 2014 with Natsuhiko Mori (Ba) and Kazuma Moroi (Dr). They made their major debut in June 2015 with the single “Summertime Love.” They craft pop music that freely crosses guitar rock, electro‑pop, Motown sounds, and blue‑eyed soul, appealing to a wide range of listeners, and they have also contributed to many drama, anime, and commercial collaborations. In June this year they held a “reunion” live at Shibuya WWW X, with ticket applications far exceeding the venue’s capacity; the subsequent追加 shows at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM also sold out, marking a bold return to the scene. This is the four members’ first Billboard Live appearance since they performed at the Tokyo‑held event LIVE FREELY SPECIAL vol.2 in 2016. For Yokohama and Osaka, their first on‑stage appearances, this day’s performance will include exclusive one‑night rearrangements and some covers, making for a special, one‑time‑only show. Deciding on this show through such a fateful sequence, we plan to deliver something a little different from our usual—one night only, a slightly more mature performance. It’s been over ten years since Shiggy Jr. formed. We were fresh and sparkling like freshly picked fruit, but over time we’ve begun to exude a more mature aroma. At just such a moment, we were offered this opportunity, and the joy made us feel a bit younger. On the day, we plan to deliver a Shiggy Jr. that’s different from usual. We’re honored to perform again at Billboard Live! For us, who have started walking in step once more, standing on this music’s sacred ground again is the utmost honor.
