ZION, a five-piece band from Hokkaido aiming to ignite the world with world-class rock, has announced a Billboard Live performance. Formed in 2020 around Ryūya Kōmura (vocals/guitar), formerly of NICO Touches the Walls, and his friend Keisuke Kuwino (guitar), they base their activities at 'White House,' a studio in Tokachi, Hokkaido that they renovated DIY from an old farmhouse. In 2022, while selling out all venues on their nationwide tour, they released their 1st album 'SUN’n’JOY' in December, and to have it recognized as Tokachi’s new specialty product, sold it exclusively at local Michi-no-Eki roadside stations, earning attention for their unconstrained, inventive approach. In May 2024 they conducted a tour of unusual venues—churches, planetariums, and a glass pyramid—under the program 'Another Mountainphonic.' Grounding their sound in an acoustic palette, they applied arrangements that transcended the usual boundaries to all tracks, dramatically expanding the band’s possibilities, and all shows sold out. And in February 2025 they released their long-awaited 2nd album 'Countryman,' and are currently touring nationwide to support it, but the Billboard Live tour in Tokyo and Osaka in May will offer a stage that stands apart from the rest.
