A singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi, whose piano seems to sing and whose strong, straight-ahead alto voice commands attention, will perform a Billboard Live show. Born in Kagawa and raised in Nagano, Higuchi began studying classical piano at age 2. She later gained wide-ranging experience in violin, choir, vocal, drums, and guitar, exposing herself to various genres, and from age 18 has centered her activities on piano-driven vocal performances. She made her major debut in 2016 with her first album, 160 Degrees. In 2022, her self-written song “Devil’s Child” drew attention as the ending theme for The Final Season Part 2 of the TV anime Attack on Titan. In recent years she has been active as a creator as well, providing songs for artists such as Shingo Katori, Non, and ChroNoiR, and drawing attention for writing lyrics for many songs in the anime Bocchi the Rock! This club show, titled “HIGUCHIAI Billboard Live Tour 2025 ‘Chorus’,” will feature Higuchi on stage with a six-member chorus including Sho Kurakami of GOOD BYE APRIL, in a piano-vocal style.
